Twilight Evening School

Are you behind on credits? Worried about graduating on time? Don't want to attend Summer school?

Welcome to the Twilight Evening School

Twilight Evening School program provides all AISD high school students options for regaining lost credits. The program assists students who are at risk of dropping out by offering credit recovery at the extended hours of 4:30pm – 7:30pm, Monday–Thursday. A student MUST be enrolled at their home campus and be referred to the program by their school counselor.

To sign up, please see your counselor or see Mr. Gonzalez in RM 109.

Twilight attempts to increase graduation rates using several strategies:

  1. By recovering students who have dropped out and re-enroll them offering extended hours (4:30-7:30pm, Mon. – Thurs.) as an incentive to get back on track toward graduation.
  2. By offering all students in need of credit recovery extended hours to work on regaining course credit.
  3. By providing students opportunity to recover attendance hours lost to absences.

*Healthy snacks are provided. Bus passes available as needed. Child care is provided at some sites.

Self-Paced Curriculum

During Twilight’s extended hours, students have the opportunity to work on courses primarily utilizing the DELTA (self-paced) computer program. Schools may also choose to offer instruction during these hours in a regular classroom setting (direct instruction). Subjects to be determined by Twilight and campus administrators.

Students who are enrolled at and attend a school that has a Twilight Program receive priority; however, referrals from all district high schools are accepted.
